Just got SRS?

If you're freaked out during your recovery and concerned something has gone wrong, first, calm down. Relax, most likely it's not as bad as you think. There seems to be quite a bit surgeons don't think to tell trans people about recovery and what's going to happen shortly after surgery.

First and foremost, I am not a medical professional by any stretch of the imagination. Nothing I say, on this site or anywhere else, should be taken as a substitute for the advice and care of qualified medical and/or psychiatric professionals. If you think something has gone wrong, contact your surgeon! If you have excessive bleeding, contact your surgeon and/or report to your local emergency room!

That said...

Sometimes just hearing "That's normal" from your doctors isn't quite the comfort one would hope it to be. If you would like to chat about what I've experienced post operatively, you are more than welcome to reach out to me. Twitter is currently the fastest way to reach me. However, understand that you are not me, and your experience may be different. Please, always check with your surgeon and your doctors.

Please understand that I may be receiving a lot of messages. It make take quite a while for me to respond to you.
