Brief Bio

Trang Nakamoto (formerly Dang-Trang Nguyen), born in Vietnam in 1986, is an assistant professor at Ritsumeikan University’s Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He earned his B.Eng. from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, followed by a Master’s degree from Dongguk University in South Korea. In 2014, he completed his Ph.D. at Ritsumeikan University, Japan. After two years in industry, he returned to academia in 2017 as a senior researcher at the Ritsumeikan Global Innovation Research Organization (R-GIRO). Since 2020, he has held his current faculty position. Trang’s current research focuses on nitride semiconductor crystal growth and evaluation technologies, contributing to advancements in materials science and device engineering. He has published over 45 peer-reviewed journal articles and delivered more than 80 presentations at international conferences. His work reflects a commitment to global collaboration, innovation, and the integration of research and education across cultures and disciplines.
