The Tramuntathlon is a multi-sport triathlon event set in the Serra de Tramuntana, the mountain range forming the spine of Mallorca. Participants will be able to take in the breath-taking scenery and enjoy what this UNESCO World Heritage site has to offer, all the while pushing themselves to their own personal limit. Competing as either an individual or by forming a relay team, athletes will kayak, cycle and run ending 155km later in the mountain village of Es Capdellà. The race-day format promotes “self-sufficiency” regarding navigation and food; this is an adventure after all! Alongside the challenge of completing a gruelling event, another important goal is to assist in raising money for Cancer Support Mallorca and increase awareness of the importance of regular check-ups. Objectives/philosophy of the event- The participation in a non-competitive event. It is still a "race" in the purest sense of the term, but the prize will be the satisfaction of completing....

ANSWER: There will be support boats to ensure safety on the kayak stage. There will also be marshals intermittently along the course, but the responsibility of maintaining the correct course is up to each competitor. Check “Stages” for maps, explanations and GPS downloads (prior to race-day). - Who will be transporting my kayak/bike/equipment between stages?
ANSWER:, you… Each competitor will be responsible for his/her equipment and transport, via their own Support Crew.- Will there be water/food provided during the event?
ANSWER: No… it's all on you and your Support Crew; self sufficiency is the name of the game!- Will there be anyone to stop us cheating?
ANSWER: No. Partly because we can’t control all 155kms, but mostly because that’s not what multi-sport events are about. This event is about enjoying the outdoors, pushing yourself, completing and competing. If you feel to need to cheat/bend the “rules” to obtain these goals, this isn't the event/sport for you….- Will we get a hero´s welcome when we finish?
ANSWER: Yes!!
