-Trail Wind CARNIVAL!!! May 18 from 5-8:30p. There will be some changes this year (don't worry, all good things...) so stay tuned for more info as we get closer.

-SAVE THE DATE: Our next general PTO meeting will be March 31, 2018, @ 3:30pm in the library. CHILD CARE WILL BE PROVIDED in the gym!!!!!!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Would you like to volunteer to help the PTO? Send us an email!!! trailwindpto@gmailcom The more volunteers we have the more we can share the work! We can always use parents to help our events run smoothly. If you have a child attending Trail Wind, you can be a member of the PTO! All you need to do is attend our General PTO Meetings (online or in person) and provide your contact information! It's simple and makes a HUGE difference!!


Don't know what to do with those fast-food resturant toys? Have "grab bag" style toys just laying around collecting dust? Donate them to the PTO for carnival prizes!!! Simply drop them off at the front office, clearly labled "carnival prizes" and we'll take care of the rest!

You voted!!! We are now in the process of installing a WALKING PATH for Trail Wind!!!

WHAT EXACTLY DOES THE PTO DO?

The PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to benefit the students of Trail Wind Elementary. Whether it be through the purchase of technology, playground equipment (like last years shade structure), or teacher funds requests (for example, a paid subscription to "Brain Pop" that our kids use in their classrooms and can have access to at home), all of our events are geared toward raising funds that we use to better our school. This year so far we have hosted the Monster Mash, BINGO Night, Pizza Night, and the Holiday Bazaar. You can look forward to a combined BINGO & Pizza Night in February, Art Night in March, a spring Bazaar, and your favorite and mine, the Carnival! Other fund raisers like the yearbook, Spirit Wear and the Direct Give opportunities make it so that our students aren't responsible for selling things like wrapping paper or cookie dough. Direct Give is an excellent way to donate--there are many local business who will match your contribution with simple paperwork.

MEET THE BOARD- Many people shy away from being on the PTO board. But the more people we have on the board, the better the organizaiton runs and the less demand on time away from our families! With only five of us on the board now you can probably imagine the work load...
