Trade & Transportation in Mesopotamia
Coracle
s
Coracles were small round boats that were made of animal skins and then covered with bitumen to make them water-tight.
Coracles were used to transport goods upstream and downstream along the rivers.
Coracles were paddled or floated with the river current.
Today, coracles are still used in many parts of the world.
