CITI Program Certification: Social & Behavioral Research
This page highlights formal training I have completed in research ethics and human subject protection. These certifications support my academic work and reflect my commitment to conducting and understanding research responsibly.
I completed the CITI Program training in Social and Behavioral Research, which focuses on ethical standards in research involving human participants.
This training covered key areas such as informed consent, research misconduct, privacy, and the responsibility researchers have to protect participants.
This certification is important because it reinforces that research is not just about collecting data—it is about protecting people, maintaining integrity, and ensuring that information is gathered responsibly.
What stood out to me is how easily research can cross ethical lines if there are no clear boundaries in place. This training made me more aware of how important it is to question not just the results of research, but how that research was conducted.
It also connects to real-world situations where people may be influenced or misled without fully understanding what they agreed to, which is something I want to stay aware of moving forward in psychology.
