Under TPG's amended corporate rehabilitation plan as approved by the Honorable Court of Makati RTC Branch 149 on June 16, 2011, the court ordered the liquification of TPG's Trust Fund and the subsequent equitable distribution of the total liquification proceeds to all qualified in-force plans. The distribution of proceeds is based on the ratio of the each qualified in-force plan relative to the population of all qualified in-force plans. This percentage share was thereafter multiplied to the total liquification proceeds to arrive at your share in the liquification proceeds. This is the most equitable and organized method of distribution of the entire trust fund proceeds.
On November 19, 2013, TPG Corporation received the Court Order of RTC Makati Branch 149 dated November 13, 2013, to distribute checks to entitled planholders with qualified in-force academic and pension plans, based on their percentage share of the liquification proceeds of TPG’s Trust Fund Assets. This is the Final Check Settlement corresponding to the proportionate share of entitled planholders in the Trust Fund. It has taken the place of all Fixed Redefined Benefits, Early Exit Benefits, Senior Citizens’ Option for Rapid Exit (SCORE) Benefits and all other benefits of the former planholder’s preneed plan. Since December 19, 2013 and until February 29, 2020, TPG Corporation has rigorously been releasing and distributing these final settlement checks.
Today, almost 10-years since the release of the first settlement check in 2013, a large majority of the TPG planholders have already received their settlement checks. However, if you are one of the few minority remaining former TPG Corporation planholders (including The Professional Group Plans) who have not received their settlement to date, you may inquire to verify if a check has been set aside for you. Please be informed that effective March 1, 2020, TPG Corporation has discontinued operations and no longer has any employees. Planholder Support Services, Inc. has been designated as the authorized servicing partner to cater to all remaining unclaimed and residual former TPG Corporation planholder accounts. As part of this arrangement, only one part-time 3rd party contractor remains to service remaining claims.
In order to service you, email us with your complete name, policy number and complete contact information, so we can verify if you are qualified, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
