Winter Showcase Information

December 15, 2018

Lake Dallas High School Auditorium

What is the Winter Showcase?

This informal performance allows our dancers to perform on stage in a relaxed, supportive and loving environment. Our dancers will enjoy showing off their routines to their peers and family members who can cheer them on in the audience. It's basically a low-key, holiday-themed recital sans costumes.

Schedule of the Day

The order of our informal performances will go by what day of the week your dancer attends:

Monday 10:00am-11:00am

Tuesdays 12:00pm-1:00pm

Wednesdays 1:00pm-2:00pm

Thursdays 2:00pm-3:00pm

Saturdays 2:30-3:30pm

Arrive 15 minutes before start time. Take a seat in the auditorium anywhere you'd like.

NOTE: Dance Co, Performance Team & Gold Squad will be slightly different than listed. See schedule for exact times.

What if my dancer attends two days a week?

Ex: Next Steps Ballet Wed & Next Steps Tap Thurs. Your dancer will perform Ballet with the Wed classes and Tap with the Thurs classes.

Hair & Make Up

Debut Dance Classes

However you'd like to do your cutie pie's hair that day is fine with us. Half up/half down with curls, ponytail, bun, pig tails, etc. It's your choice.

Ballet classes

Please wear a bun at the crown of the head, just like we do in class every week.

Jazz, Contemporary & Hip Hop classes

Please wear a ponytail with a hair colored hair tie. (NOTE: If your dancer will need a bun for another class, it's best just to leave it in a bun.)

Performing Groups

(Dance Co, Performance Team, Gold Squad)

Please wear a bun at the crown of the head. Be sure to use gel or hair spray to tame flyaways. Use a hair colored hair net and secure the bun with a gazillion bobby pins.

While all over our sweeties are perfect just the way God made them, we want to be able to see their precious faces under the bright stage lights.

Debut Dance Classes

Blush and lipstick is all they really need.

All other classes

  • Earthtone eyeshadow (browns, greens, grays)
  • Black Mascara
  • Blush
  • Lipstick

Digital Photos & Videos

All classes will receive an email with a link to photos & video taken of your kiddos on stage! Woohoo!

Due to editing, this may take up to 30 days or so.

Do we need tickets?

Nope. This a a come-and-go event. Arrive 15 minutes before your call time. You are free to go after your dancer has performed all of their routines.

What if I don't have a pink leotard with attached skirt for my Debut Dancer?

We have several styles available for purchase for $22 for your convenience.

Is the Spring Recital different than the Winter Showcase?

YES! Our Spring Recital is not like any recital you are accustomed to attending. It is a professional, themed production that allows our dancers to experience the excitement of stage performance complete with colorful costumes, creative choreography, toe tapping music, keepsake programs and trophies!
