If you want the ultimate sound detail for audiophile-grade listening and compact portability, choose TOZO Golden X1; if you need marathon battery life, over-ear comfort for long sessions, and a secure fit that never slips off your temples while wearing glasses, choose Edifier ES850NB.
• TOZO Golden X1: Delivers hybrid driver audio with 44.1kHz treble extension and LDAC support, but trades all-day wearability for an in-ear form factor that can create pressure with thick frames.
• Edifier ES850NB: Offers an incredible 92-hour playtime and plush leather cups designed to accommodate eyewear without clamping, though it sacrifices the ultra-high-frequency resolution of the Golden X1's balanced armature setup.
• Best for: The Golden X1 is for the commuter who wants studio-quality sound in a pocket-sized package, while the ES850NB is for the home office worker or traveler who needs silence for days on end.
The TOZO Golden X1 is engineered for listeners who demand absolute fidelity from their wireless connection. This isn't just another pair of earbuds; it is a hybrid system combining a customized Balanced Armature driver with a 12mm Dynamic Driver inside a single unit. If you are a musician, an audiophile, or someone who listens to complex classical tracks where you need to hear the snap of a snare drum or the shimmer of a cymbal, this is the device. The specs show a frequency response stretching from 12Hz to 44.1kHz. That upper limit is significant because it goes well beyond the standard human hearing threshold of 20kHz, allowing the earbuds to reproduce ultrasonic details like the high-end resonance of a guitar string or even the sonic signature of dolphin calls.
For the user who wears glasses, the TOZO Golden X1 presents a specific set of trade-offs. Because these are in-ear buds, they sit deep within the canal to achieve the isolation required for their 42dB noise cancellation capability. While the design includes active noise cancellation to block up to 90% of background noise, the physical presence of the earbud combined with the temple arms of your glasses can sometimes create a "clamping" sensation after a few hours. However, if you prioritize a secure, low-profile fit that stays hidden under headphones or fits easily into a coat pocket, the Golden X1 excels. The inclusion of touch controls and app integration allows you to manage the OrigX Pro sound profile, giving you a wide soundstage that feels expansive despite the small size.

You should buy the TOZO Golden X1 if you travel frequently and need a charging case that supports both USB-C and wireless charging, featuring a digital LED display so you always know your battery status. It is also the clear choice if your phone supports LDAC technology, as this codec streams music at 990 kbit/s, delivering three times the data of standard Bluetooth codecs. With a total battery life of 32 hours including the case and a latency of just 60 milliseconds, it is built for high-speed streaming and gaming where audio sync matters. But if your priority is simply putting something on your head and forgetting it for ten hours straight, the in-ear design might require more frequent breaks than you prefer.
The Edifier ES850NB is built for endurance and physical comfort, specifically targeting those who spend long hours immersed in content. As an over-ear headphone, it utilizes large dynamic drivers capable of reproducing frequencies from 20 Hz to 40,000 Hz. While the top-end frequency doesn't reach the extreme ultrasonic levels of the TOZO Golden X1, the sheer scale of the drivers and the enclosure material—leather and steel—creates a rich, immersive bass response and a warm tonal balance that many find more natural for long-term listening. The most striking feature here is the battery life. With an average life of 92 hours, you can go weeks without plugging in the charger. A quick 15-minute charge provides enough power for extended use, making it the ideal companion for cross-country flights or long workweeks where you don't want to think about power outlets.
For glasses wearers, the Edifier ES850NB is often the superior choice due to its form factor. Over-ear headphones rest around the ear rather than inside it, meaning the earcup creates a seal without interfering with the bridge or arms of your eyeglasses. The padding is made of leather, which is soft against the skin and distributes pressure evenly across the head, preventing the painful hotspots that often occur when wearing tight in-ear buds alongside thick-framed glasses. The design is foldable, adding to its portability despite being larger than earbuds. You get active noise cancellation here too, along with touch controls, but the experience is defined by the ability to wear them for 10, 12, or even 20 hours without discomfort.
This product is for the person who values connectivity versatility above all else. The ES850NB supports Bluetooth 5.4 and includes a 3.5mm jack and USB-C wired options, ensuring you can connect to any device, old or new. It also features multipoint connection, allowing you to switch seamlessly between your laptop and phone. If you work from home or in a busy office and need to take calls with crystal clarity, the noise control and microphone setup are designed to isolate your voice from the environment. The only compromise is the size; you cannot slip these into a small jeans pocket, and they require a dedicated bag or backpack space. But if you are looking for the best USB-C charging wireless headset for glasses wearers who need a break from ear fatigue, this is the one.

After weighing the specifications and real-world use cases, I would personally choose the Edifier ES850NB if my primary goal is comfort during long workdays or travel, especially since I wear glasses daily. The ability to go 92 hours on a single charge removes the anxiety of finding a charger, and the over-ear design ensures that my ears and temples remain free of pain. While the TOZO Golden X1 offers superior technical audio specs with its hybrid drivers and LDAC support, the physical intrusion of in-ear buds makes them less suitable for marathon sessions. For anyone looking for the best earbuds for glasses wearers who also value comfort, the Edifier ES850NB strikes the better balance between performance and wearability.
They can be used, but the in-ear design may cause some pressure where the earbud meets the temple arms of your glasses, potentially leading to discomfort over long periods compared to over-ear models.
The Edifier ES850NB is the clear winner with 92 hours of playback time, whereas the TOZO Golden X1 offers 32 hours total, requiring more frequent charging cycles.
