Chill Out Week

For the week of December 20th, which was also the last week before break, Student Council had arranged “Chill Out Week”. It was fundamentally the same as a Spirit Week but without the opportunity to earn points for the Class Cup.
During the week, the following events took place:
Monday (20) - Flannel Day
Tuesday (21) - Ugly Sweater Day
Wednesday (22) - Bring Anything but a Backpack Day
Thursday (23) - Pajama Day
Many students participated throughout the week and it was exciting to see what people would do for a day like “Bring Anything but a Backpack Day”. That day was also the most interesting day, in my opinion, as people brought various things like coolers, suitcases, slow cookers, and even microwaves. Many other schools have also done similar events. One could have probably seen videos of people participating in “Bring Anything but a Backpack Day” online. And almost every school has done “Pajama Day” at least once for the end of the week.
As we all know, spirit weeks are significant and unique for every school. It breaks up the mundaneness that settles often over schools and brings a sense of normalcy, especially during these times. Simply put, the week allows people to express themselves in fun and creative ways.
Student Council, as always, is open to new ideas. Some students have also pitched in to say the following:
Wear the Same Color Day
Formal Day
No Homework Day
Halloween in (month) Day
