That said I was hoping that HE could help me solve one of my huge annoyances. We have a touchscreen Yale lock which is great, other then we also have a large dog who thinks its funny to escape when someone enters or exits through that door. Now the dog isn't the issue as she runs down to the cars and then comes right back when called. Due to the dog we often squeeze between the jamb and the door. Doing so caused the one touch lock to trigger and the deadbolt resulting in it sitting out which requires you to reach inside and manually turn the lock or enter a code to unlock it allowing you to close the door. Nether of which are ideal options.

What I would like to do is disable the one touch lock option when the doors contact sensor reads the door as open. I haven't been able to find a way to do this yet and was hoping someone had some insight. The contact rule machine is easy enough but disabling the one touch is beyond me.

AFAICT, that one touch feature is built-into the lock and not exposed to smart modules plugged into it. It functions to lock the deadbolt or activate the keypad even when there's no module plugged into the lock.

I also have this lock (very similar) and would like to disable or desensitize the touch screen at least. It often gets overzealous and locks us out with the slightest brush of the screen (mine is a level lock, so it disable the level action). I've tried to get in the habit of turn the lock when I hear the motor trip.

I don't think this setting is exposed via the built in drivers. There are parameter options to enable/disable the features but it won't work well. When you send the unlock/lock command it wakes up the device and issues the command. When you send a parameter setting it waits for the device to check in and then updates the parameter. Its not always instant.

What you might want to do is disable the options on the lock itself and manage them via RM instead. That way you can check the door status and issue a lock/unlock as needed. For example, if the door is closed, wait 1 minute, issue the lock command.

This is why I like my custom drivers. Zwave parameter 11 on the lock controls the onetouch feature but built in drivers don't expose that. So if somebody wrote a custom driver it can be controlled but still is not the most reliable way to do it.

Couldn't you create a simple rule that when the lock is locked it checks the door contact sensor to see if it is open and unlock it if so? It wouldn't stop the lock from locking but it would unlock it..

I recently got the Pie update for my S9+ and now whenever I play a game the screen touch lock automatically activates after a few minutes of no interaction, it didn't do this before the Pie update, I still sometimes use the screen touch lock by manually activating it as well as other parts of the game tools but is there anywhere I can stop it from coming on automatically?

I 'stupidly' enabled touch lock in Settings>Display but I can't disable it anymore and so now I have to press the button to unlock it every time I want to delve into complications whereas before I could do it by just touching the screen.

It is being developed, but it's a lot harder than it looks. The current lock screen is built into the shell. But to be a proper lock screen, we need to separate it out to be a proper LightDM greeter that runs as a different user and has to share a bunch of information with the user session.

Audio

The lock gives various beeps to provide feedback. Even when you specifically toggle the sound off, it will still beep at you when it encounters errors. I opted for Level because I live in the ghetto and would rather not draw any attention. An app notification would be vastly preferred, imo.

Meh, so instead of a relatively solid bolt (some contain mechanisms to make the bolt harder to cut) they have hollowed it out in order to put a battery inside. (From their site it looks like a CR2 which is almost the same size as the bolt on my front door lock)

I realise that the people who purchase a level touch are more interested in the smart/convenient features than security, but I would like the physical security to be more important than being able to talk to my front door lock.

As for the lock, I would be more interested in seeing it gutted to get an idea of how secure the actual lock mechanism is. I have a 5 pin SC1 here that can be raked in a couple of seconds (and I am not particularly skilled). Adding security pins would slow that down or stop it.

I am taking a slightly different approach, I have a Grade 2 deadbolt on the way from a supply company, and want to see if I can reliably replace just the building interior portion with a microcontroller/H bridge/motor/gearbox. If I can then it should be easy to trigger the lock with any one of a number of possibilities like the Xac.

My iPad 2 does not want to lock. This is not a hardware problem because if I keep the sleep/wake button pressed I am propted to "Swipe to power off". If I enable assistive touch and select "Lock Screen" nothing happens. I have restored it 3-4 times know it is running iOS 6.1.3 not jailbroken. I have not been able to find my solution anywhere. I am just really confused because it worked before I updated.

Same issue here too. No recent software updates. This appeared after a hard reboot for me. After a lock + home button reboot. Older iPad 2. Lock button works to turn off. Lock button works to take screenshot. Lock button does not work for locking screen. Assistive Touch lock button behaves exactly like hardware button. Assistive touch lock button does not lock screen.

I have the same problem, I got the latest version of the Ipad Mini 2. The "LOCK" is the only problem in here. Turning off and taking screen shoots using the locked button is still functioning but the only problem is, it won't lock except waiting 2 minutes until the screen shut off. We really need a solution with this problem, APPLE service please reply to your customers.?

For the GX Touch screen is it possible to completely lock the screen only allowing data to be displayed. We need to stop the end user from making changes to the settings locally from the screen. I know we can set the access level to "User" in the Cerbo GX which will restrict what can be changed and we can password protect the VRM but is a complete screen lock possible?

Thanks for your input Alexandra, we have tried a non touch screen and this does seem to work to a degree although the screen that we tried was quite large, the first time the image booted up quite small but the second time it booted up with a full screen. We are trying to find a smaller screen that we can also power through VBAT or USB. Thanks again. ff782bc1db
