Welcome to my research webpage!
I am Toton Sarkar, and I recently completed my Ph.D. in Physics at Visva-Bharati University, India, under the guidance of Prof. Ashis Bhattacharjee. My work is centered around synthesizing and characterizing metal-oxide nanoparticles, with a strong focus on green synthesis methods to optimize their performance. I focus on understanding the dielectric properties of these nanoparticles and exploring their potential applications in crucial areas like pollution control and waste water treatment. The synthesized materials have been extensively characterized using techniques such as FTIR, powder XRD, Mössbauer spectroscopy, temperature-dependent magnetization studies, UV-Vis-NIR absorption spectroscopy, photoluminescence, and Raman spectroscopy. Additionally, I have employed SEM and TEM (HRTEM) to analyze nanoparticle morphology.
