In His Own Words
Well, hello. Many of you may know me already, but for those of you who don't, my name is Toto. I am a purebred Cairn Terrier from the windy state of Kansas. My slightly more famous owner, Dorothy Gale, is the most beautiful little girl in the world. We have actually just gotten back from a land called Oz, and I want to bark all about it. Dorothy and I had some great adventures. I will tell you only a few, for I'm not quite used to talking.
Let's see, there is the original ride in the sky to Oz via cyclone. It was a doozy. Then there was an encounter with a Lion. He almost got me; I was sure I was a goner. And finally, I saved everyone from a deceptive floating head. I just knew that floating heads were not real.
Really, you are a lucky audience, because I don't talk for just anyone. I think the last time I talked, no one could understand me, so hopefully you can read better than most people listen! I'm not bitter, I'm just barking.
I forgot to mention, though, before the cyclone came to the farm, I was actually having a great conversation with my good friend, a robin named Rouge, through the window. She told me that Aunt Em and Uncle Henry were looking to get a dog to watch the other animals. And, the best part? It’s. A. GIRL. AHHHHH, I can’t help but wag my tail at the news. I think they were going to name her Emma after Aunt Em. Shh, though. Dorothy doesn’t know yet.
Oh! That's actually Dorothy calling. If you are ready for the beginning of the story The Cyclone and Oz, just click the link below and continue to follow the links like I followed the yellow brick road!
