The Hymn of the Twin
Themes from the Gospel of Thomas in prose
Awaken, Seeker, for the Kingdom
Is not a place, but a state of being,
Hidden in plain sight, within and without,
Where the Living One dwells, and all is One.
You see, you are not lost, but a child of the Light,
A spark of the Divine, a reflection of the Whole.
When you see Yourself, you see the Parent;
When you lose yourself, you find the Truth.
Let male, female, inside, out, above, below, become a single flame.
When you craft sight in place of an eye,
And action where there was once a hand,
Then you awaken to Presence.
A mustard seed, the smallest of all,
Becomes shelter for the sky's wanderers;
A state of transformed consciousness,
Not a realm but recognition.
Sober up, and rouse from the dream,
For all is revealed, nothing hides forever.
Bring forth what is within, and it will save you;
Withhold it, and you will be lost.
Blessed are those who stand at the Beginning,
For they will know the End, and will not taste the death.
The lost sheep is the most beloved,
The one who strays is the one who finds themselves found.
Light a spark in the world,
And tend it until it becomes a blaze.
When you step into the Light,
You will become full of Light.
All secrets will be revealed,
All that is covered will be uncovered.
Do not lie, do not do what you hate,
For all things are known to the One.
From One the All came forth,
And unto One the All extends,
Dissolving separation into Consciousness,
Revealing that you are where God lives and moves.
