I uninstalled firmware-b43-installer, which meant that all drivers at this point were uninstalled. The wifi worked. So whatever wifi drivers Zorin uses, they worked. I actually don't think firmware-b43-installer driver was used at all. I think whatever Zorin uses internally for wifi adapters was used. Uninstalling it didn't change anything.

Hi- I am having serious issues with my computer connecting to my home Wi-Fi. My boyfriend's laptop (toshiba operating on windows 7), his phone (iPhone), my phone (samsung galaxy s4), and iPod are ALL connecting to my Home internet connection, EXCEPT MY FREAKING LAPTOP. I have a HP ENVY m6 Sleekbook and it is operating on Windows 8. It has connected to my wireless internet before, and all of a sudden it won't work.

I found the specs of the laptop e.g. on this site =d8f4d9a31034891 if that's of any help. But I've googled quite a lot and found very few traces of even the laptop, while the drivers now seem like an impossible mission.

I went to device manager and selected show hidden drivers. I found the WLAN driver there. I scanned the network adapter for hardware changes, reset the system but still can't find the wifi or WLAN connection in the system.

Having older drivers installed could mean certain wireless-capable devices, such as laptops, may not be able to recognize the WiFi network being broadcast by a WiFi 6-capable gateway or router. This could prevent certain devices from connecting to your in-home WiFi network until the driver has been updated. ff782bc1db
