I think (it seems I read that somewhere) that FlashAir requires certain folder/files to be present on card to function... and formatting just delete those... you you find them, copy them back or find some toshiba utility to create them again you will be OK

Am using MacBook pro.

High Sierra

Nikon d610 with the toshiba flash air w-03.

It is really puzzling why i have to click on the flash sync app in the menu bar in order to connect and sync.

The moment i click on the shutter it disconnects from the flash air but yet every thing is working as far safari logged to and my i pad seeing the new photos.

The moment i click on the flash sync icon it connects and transmits everything to the desktop folder.

the moment i click on the shutter button it disconnects and nothing happens in the destination folder yet every thing else flows smoothly???

i need a way to use android with flashair over network , so the card will be connected to a router with a fixed IP and i need my android tablet to connect to the video files on card , is there a way for this?

Setup 1 - Desktop + flashair = OK

For testing I inserted the toshiba wifi SD into my desktop (AP mode). I can detect the wifi using both handphone and desktop. Using the desktop i can write/read files wireless into the SD card

Setup 2 - Prusa MK2 + flashair = Failed

I cant detect any wifi from the flashair in both my desktop or handphone. (no communication with PC to flashair)

In the LCD screen of mk2, i can see that SD card is loaded and i am able to read files/folders.

9/27/2018. to Gumyue. I understand, too bad the Toshiba Wi-fi files cannot be write-protected on the SD card like on a computer can be protected. It seems best, at least with this wi-fi solution, to select DELETE ALL PHOTOS from the D700 in-camera menu, rather than formatting the card in-camera.

Try these Toshiba Links. I recommend Googling: Toshiba Flashair W-04 software, as this is safer than opening links from unknown sources. Toshiba Links which have worked for me are:

Main (select AGREE at the bottom of the page IF you AGREE):

jp.toshiba-memory.com/ww/support/download/flashair/w04/up...

On the page cited above, select the link for the OS you are using iApple or Windoze (misspelled on purpose, with a one of derision for having been a "victim" of Bill Gates since DOS 3.0), choosing to remain "hostage" over buying into the iApple closed hardware architecture system...but I digress). The SOFTWARE UPDATE TOOL is a bit slow at updating itself, but it provides options for re-installing the wi-fi "basic files" to the Toshiba FlashAir W-04 wi-fi card, which easily connect to a smart phone for sharing files. I have not been successful at suing the TOSHIBA SOFTWARE UPDATE TOOL to create the wi-fi connnection to my home-Windoze PC network to download images to the computer via wi-fi, due to it appearing that the default setting seems to be to block internet traffic of the home router, which I am unwilling to experiment with, in case it messes up the router settings.
