The Toronto Graduate Application Assistance Program (GAAP) is a student-run, volunteer-led effort that aims to ensure that all applicants to higher-degree programs (thesis-based MSc/PhD) in the University of Toronto Department of Computer Science can receive feedback on a draft of their application before final submission. The GAAP program aims to be one step towards a more equitable application process.
Note: Toronto GAAP is a completely separate program from applying to graduate school in the Department of Computer Science. Acceptance to this mentorship program is not an acceptance to graduate studies at UofT. Your participation in this program will not be disclosed to the admissions committee or any official entity at the University of Toronto.
Please see the Department of Computer Science website for deadlines and more information about applying for graduate school: https://web.cs.toronto.edu/graduate/prospective
GAAP is a peer-matching program. Prospective students will be matched with a current student (or recent graduate). This mentor will give feedback on your statement of purpose (SoP) and CV.
We will do our best to match you with someone with a similar research background, but may not be able to match everyone due to mentor availability.
