Start new adventures here!
There is a Military Science program at ROSEMONT MIDDLE SCHOOL. This "Navy League Cadet Corps" program is designed to prepare 6th - 8th grade students to move towards a career focused high school experience. Whether they want to join the miltiary as a commissioned officer, enlisted, or move into a civil service role, the Military Science program at Rosemont will lay the foundation for a solid path. The unit's official name is Training Ship Meadowbrook and it operates under the direction of LT Eric Ignacio, NSCC.
Students will join as cadets within the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps. This alone opens up doors, however these students have the best of both worlds. While attending classes, practicing color guard, learning to march and participate in SeaPerch; your student has the opportunity to join in on weekend drills with the Top Hatters Squadron at Naval Station Norfolk and attend League Cadet trainings hosted all over the country.
If you missed the NPS application deadline for this year....we at Top Hatters can help you out. Your child is able to join as a Top Hatters' cadet and still take the Military Science Program when the next enrollment comes around.
How is this a benefit? Joining now can get your cadet rolling right away with inperson drills, start them on their courses, open up the ability to get to Navy League Orientation early, and boost their leadership skills before walking into the classroom.
