NOTE 1: If you will not be accompanying your cadet to B-30 on Friday evening, please be sure you send their drill fees with them. A cadet will not be able to stay the weekend without their drill fees at check-in.

NOTE 2: Parents who wish to join us for the Friday evening check-in:

  1. Are invited to ride the shuttle with their cadet to Building B-30. Please park toward the back of the mini-mart. Return transportation will be provided for parents and the shuttle will depart Building B-30 by 2030 (8:30 PM) - returning to the NEX complex - mini mart.
  2. For parents with base access, we welcome you to park in the lot adjacent to building B-30.

NOTE 3: Parents who wish to join us for quarters on Sunday:

End of Drill All Hands Meeting

  1. Are invited to ride the shuttle to Building B-30 if they do not have base access. Please park toward the back of the mini-mart. Return transportation will be provided and departs Building B-30 by 1435 (2:35 PM) - returning to the NEX complex.
  2. For parents with base access, we welcome you to park in the lot adjacent to building B-30.

Our shuttle is labeled US Naval Sea Cadet Corps.

FRIDAY (Join us for Check-in - Optional)

  • Drop off and Check-in Time is at 2000 (8:00 PM)

SUNDAY (Join us for Quarters - Optional)

  • Pick-up Time is at 1430 (2:30 PM)

Location: 1776 Gilbert Street (BLDG B-30). 3rd deck. Use door with Sea Cadet Logo / White Contact Magnet Information Plaque.

FULL DRILL SCHEDULE WITHOUT BASE ACCESS

The meeting location for dropping off and picking up is:

The Mini-Mart at the NEX complex (outside gate 2) at 1560 Mall Drive, Norfolk, Virginia.

FRIDAY (Join us for Check-in - Optional)

Shuttle Pick-up Time: 1940 (7:40 PM) Our shuttle will arrive at 1940 (7:40 PM) and depart at 2000 (8:00 PM)

SUNDAY (Join us for Quarters - Optional)

Parents who wish to attend the end-of-drill debriefing can ride with us!

Shuttle Pick-up Time: 1335 (1:35 PM) and departs for B-30 at 1345 (1:45 PM)

The shuttle will depart B-30 at at 1445 (2:45 PM) for both parents and cadets going back to the Mini-Mart.

Shuttle Drop-off Time is at 1455 (2:55 PM)

Here's what to pack for drill

  1. 1 White flat sheet
  2. Pillow case
  3. Blanket or sleeping bag - your choice
  4. Shower shoes
  5. Shower toiletries
  6. Towel
  7. 2 days change of clothes (street clothes for first drill - no logos or graphics) and uniforms and seabag once issued.
  8. 2 days of PT gear
    • Knee length shorts or sweatpants
    • Crew neck tee shirt
    • Sweatshirt (season appropriate)
  9. Tennis shoes
  10. Water canteen or Cambelbak (Optional)
  11. $25 Drill fees (without drill fee cadet cannot drill)

    • Any medications must be in their original prescription container with dosing and frequency instructions clearly labeled.
    • Medication(s) not in their original container cannot be accepted per USNSCC guidelines.
    • Loose medication(s) in zip lock baggies or similar containers are not permitted.
