Her life is a testament to breakthroughs and accomplishments, never allowing societal norms and limitations to prevent her from achieving phenomenal and long-lasting successes. And this is the reason she is well versed with the knowledge of human development and behavior; of social, economic, and cultural institutions; and of the interaction of all these factors and also she emphasizes that ‘Pearls don’t lie on seashore, if you want one, you must dive for it.’When I asked her why does she take out time and come here all the way every year?’’. ‘‘she replied ‘’I do it for myself, it gives me pleasure, when I see kids smile it makes me happy and my heart expands.’’

Her Excellency has been doing the study of agencies, programs, personnel, and policies which focus on the delivery of social services to individuals, groups, and communities. She has been an actively involved with several NGOs in India, Thailand and Philippines. She has done many laudatory works, which includes helping under privileged children with their education, providing counseling to children that come from poor background and interacting with the institutions and helping them create a more structural approach in running the orphanages.

Her Excellency often visits Agra Fort ( Agra, India). The fort consists of four gates and at two main gates, Delhi gate and Lahore gate, there are a lot of necessitous people who asks for help, and for the last five years, Her Excellency has been helping five of the families in every possible manner, whether it is for their livelihood, health, medical needs or child’s education.

Her Excellency has set an example by helping individuals, groups, and communities to enhance and restore their capacity for social functioning by creating societal conditions favorable to their goals. In the year, 2017, when Her Excellency was there at Mumbai (India). She herself visited Dharavi (Mumbai) which is Asia’s largest slums, and did a lot for the people at there by providing for the education of three children of Dharavi, whom she interacted near a temple called Shri Siddhi Vinayak Ganapati Mandir at Prabhadevi (Mumbai).

Her Excellency from a very long time has followed the institutional view towards the welfare of the society as, “whenever difficulties arise, causes are sought in the society, and efforts are focused on improving the social institutions within which the individual functions”, this was realized by her at the age of 12, when she was a student. Her Excellency was having 600 Rupees given by her father when she was travelling to her Hostel. On her way she saw two old people abandoned by their children, she helped them by providing them with tent and bunk bed. She often visited them and took care of their livelihood and medical facilities.

She founds a great practice to take a moment, consider the things which are likely wrong, assume good intentions, and hear the other side. This may not take very long, but generally results in higher quality decisions, a more balanced view of the world, and thus results into more motivated aspect of final words towards the ultimate decision.

Her Excellency is part of an NGO, based at Singrauli (India), its objective is to raise the issues such as education for the under privileged children and women's empowerment in the society. It is working for the welfare of that level of society which has been ignored for a long time and which need to be empowered and also provide the slums with various government schemes of which they are not aware of. It closely monitors the need of the orphan children in terms of education, food and medical facilities. Her Excellency has very effectively implemented the concept of protective influence for the benefit of people belonging to these strata of society. She has conveyed a message that “Protection can also come from within. Some children have qualities that draw others toward them in times of need. They may be sparkly. They may excel at developing safety nets for themselves, and when adversity arises, their safety net is there to catch them. Some children are strong academically, or very skilled socially, so that success in the neighborhood and in school comes rather easily. Some children are more resilient, having the capacity to withstand the effects of exposure to known risk factors—for example, having the tendency to reframe adversities as being challenges that they know they have the capacities to overcome.” This is reason that she started motivating children to enhance the skill in which they are good at, not the things which society emphasizes them to do. She helped many children to flourish in the field of dance, art and craft. Many of them are now enrolled in vocational course of their respective area of interest.

There are many problems that surround an orphan child. Major ones are emotional and behavioral issues, Its all quite deep rooted among orphans and other vulnerable children because they are exposed to abuse, exploitation, neglect, lack of love and care of parents. They are also more likely to be emotionally needy, insecure, and poor. In addition to these factors, most of them are brought up in environment where individual care is inadequate. All these factors can socially and emotionally impair these children. Her Excellency has played a major role in providing aid and adequate counseling to these children whenever she finds any of them in circumstances like that.

The elderly population is facing numerous physical, psychological, and social role changes that challenge their sense of self and capacity to live happily. Major of the elderly population experience loneliness and depression in old age, which is either because of living alone or can be the lack of close family ties and reduced connections with their culture of origin, which results in an inability to actively participate in the community activities. With advancing age, it is inevitable that people lose connection with their friendship networks and that they find it more difficult to initiate new friendships and to belong to new networks and thus due to these reasons elderly people often find themselves at that phase of their life when they need proper social support in terms of emotional subsistence. Her Excellency has observed while working for them that age gap is just an example of an evident hiccup in the sense that when we sit and talk to an elderly but once we try we find many similarities with them, it can be common love for a particular book or interest in music or their experience at our favorite places etc.

Her Excellency has analyzed that loneliness has been directly related to increased risk of cardiovascular disease. With that in mind, think about the difference we can make in someone’s life when we take the time to sit and chat, or offer a meaningful experience for them. And also, all societies must develop ways to meet the needs of those who are unable to be self-sufficient-the orphaned, the blind, persons with a physical or mental disability, the poor, and the sick.

“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life--think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.” These words from Vivekananda, explains the persona of Elizabeth Kelly. Her Excellency focuses on skill that one needs to brush up for inculcating a sense of discipline. And this discipline will ultimately make one committed towards work and responsibility and along with that it motivates to be empathetic, soft, sensitive, open and confident towards each aspect of life.
