If you want immersive, studio-grade sound with active noise cancellation for deep focus at your desk, choose TONTRU Headphones; if you need open-ear awareness and a lightweight frame that doubles as eyewear for outdoor use or office safety, choose Sowmow Audio Glasses.
• TONTRU Headphones: Delivers rich bass and 30dB noise reduction via ANC/ENC, but requires in-ear insertion which some find isolating during long sessions. Ideal for the user who prioritizes audio fidelity and calls in noisy environments.
• Sowmow Audio Glasses: Offers situational awareness with an open-ear design and all-day comfort at just 37g, but lacks active noise cancellation and has slightly shorter playtime per charge. Best for the user who needs to hear traffic or colleagues while listening to music.
• The Verdict: If you are looking for voice assistant headband headphones for pc, neither is a perfect fit on its own, but the glasses offer a unique hybrid form factor, while the earbuds offer superior isolation.
The TONTRU True Wireless Earbuds A8 are engineered for the listener who demands high-fidelity audio without the bulk of over-ear cans. The core of their appeal lies in the 13mm composite diaphragm driver, which pushes out rich bass and crisp highs that rival studio monitors. This isn't just background noise; this is for someone who wants to feel the depth of a movie score or the nuance in a complex jazz track. When paired with Bluetooth 5.3, the connection remains rock-solid, eliminating the stuttering or dropouts that plague older models when you move around your workspace.
For the remote worker or student using these for voice assistant headband headphones for pc scenarios, the dual-mode noise cancellation is the real game-changer. With Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) for calls and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) for listening, you can effectively silence a bustling coffee shop or a noisy home office. The system reduces ambient noise by up to 30dB, allowing you to focus entirely on the conversation or the content. You get three modes—Transparency, Noise Canceling, and Off—so you aren't stuck with one setting forever.

However, these earbuds require a trade-off in terms of physical presence. They are semi-in-ear designs weighing only 3.8 grams each, which makes them barely noticeable once they are seated in your ear canal. While this ensures a secure fit for extended wear, it also means you are physically blocking your ears. If you prefer to keep both ears open to monitor your surroundings, or if you dislike the sensation of having something inside your ear canal, this product might not be for you. They are also strictly wired-free, so you will need to manage the charging case, though the USB-C fast charging gets you back to full power in just 1.5 hours.
The Sowmow AIMB-V3-Space Smart Audio Glasses cater to a completely different lifestyle—one where situational awareness is non-negotiable. These are not traditional headphones; they are sunglasses with integrated speakers that sit outside the ear canal. The primary benefit here is the "open-ear" design. Because there is no seal in your ear, you can listen to music, take calls, or interact with a voice assistant while still hearing cars passing by, coworkers calling your name, or a doorbell ringing. This makes them inherently safer for outdoor walking, commuting, or cycling, and equally useful in an office where you need to stay connected to your environment.
Comfort is another massive selling point for the Sowmow glasses. Weighing in at just 37 grams total, they are incredibly light, making them suitable for wearing throughout an entire workday without fatigue. The frame is constructed from frosted ABS material, which feels durable yet sleek. Unlike touch controls that can be finicky, these use physical push buttons, reducing the likelihood of accidentally pausing your music or rejecting a call when you adjust your glasses. The IPX4 water resistance rating means you don't have to worry about sweat during a workout or a sudden splash of rain, provided you dry them before plugging in the charger.
The catch with this form factor is the lack of isolation. Since they do not seal the ear, there is zero Active Noise Cancellation. In a quiet room, this is fine, but in a loud factory floor or a busy street, the music will compete with the noise rather than drown it out. Furthermore, the battery life sits at 8.5 hours, which is respectable but falls short of the total 20+ hours you get with the TONTRU case. If you need to go more than a day without recharging, you will need to plan your usage carefully. Still, for those who prioritize the ability to see and hear the world while enjoying audio, the Sowmow design is a compelling alternative to standard earbuds.

I would buy the TONTRU Headphones for my primary setup at the desk. The combination of the 13mm drivers and the active noise cancellation provides a level of audio quality and isolation that the open-ear glasses simply cannot match. For serious listening, gaming, or taking important calls where background noise is a distraction, the TONTRU is the superior tool. However, I would recommend the Sowmow Audio Glasses specifically for anyone who needs a device that functions as both eyewear and audio gear, particularly for outdoor activities or open-office environments where hearing your surroundings is vital. If you are choosing for pc, the TONTRU offers the richer sonic experience, while the Sowmow offers a unique hands-free, eyes-open workflow that is hard to beat for specific tasks.
Yes, both products support standard Bluetooth connections and pair easily with Windows, macOS, and Linux computers for audio streaming and voice assistant commands.
No, the open-ear design does not provide passive or active noise cancellation, so wind or loud environmental noise will be audible while listening.
The charging case takes approximately 1.5 hours to fully recharge via USB-C, and the earbuds themselves provide up to 5 hours of continuous playback on a single charge.
The Sowmow Audio Glasses are IPX4 rated, meaning they resist sweat and light splashes, but they should be dried thoroughly before connecting to a charging port.
