Tonnage ("the App") is a workout tracking application developed by Jake Jaffe. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data stored locally on your device:
Workout sessions, exercises, sets, and reps
Bodyweight and measurement entries
Training programs and templates
App preferences and settings
Data you optionally share:
Apple Health data (workouts, bodyweight) — only if you enable Health integration
Photos — only when using the AI photo import feature
We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers
We do not use analytics or crash reporting services
We do not share your data with third parties
We do not track you across apps or websites
If you enable Apple Health integration, Tonnage reads and writes workout and bodyweight data to the Apple Health app on your device. This data never leaves your device through Tonnage.
When using the photo import feature, images are sent to Anthropic's API to extract workout data. Please review Anthropic's Privacy Policy for how they handle this data. Your Anthropic API key is stored locally on your device only.
Tonnage offers a one-time Pro upgrade via Apple's App Store. Apple handles all payment processing. We do not receive or store any payment information.
This app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
