With the Writer's strike having come to an end with a fair deal for the writers, the next step is to successfully end the actor's strike withe a similar deal. Some of the largest focuses for this particular deal is protection against AI and digitally recreating actor's likenesses. and recently, the studios have come out to the actor's guild with an offer that they describe as their "best and final offer".
Little is known currently about the exact details of this final offer, but one executive has stated it includes more favorable protection against AI than the WGA offer. Of course the offer must still be considered by SAG-AFTRA. If the deal is accepted, this would mean a swift end to the strikes. However, if they refuse to accept the deal, the Actor's strike could continue throughout the remainder of the year and perhaps even further. SAG-AFTRA has taken an additional day to seriously consider this new deal to see if it meets to their demands.
