English Voice Cast for Miyazaki's "The Boy and The Heron" Revealed.

The English voice cast for the Western release of Hayao Miyazaki's next big film, The Boy and the Heron, was revealed this Tuesday. American distributor GKIDS announced the English dub's star-studded cast will include notable actors such as Dave Bautista, Mark Hamil, Robert Pattinson, Willem Defoe, Gemma Chan, Christian Bale, Karen Fukuhara, and Luca Padovan. Luca will be portraying the titular boy, Paco, while the heron will be voiced by Christian Bale. Christian Bale has had experience voicing in a Miyazaki film before, as the actor had previously voiced in the English Dub of Howl's Moving Castle. 

The dub was made in accordance with the SAG-AFTRA's Foreign Dubbing Agreement, which is not currently under strike by the Hollywood actors' union. The Boy and the Heron hit Japanese theaters back on July 14th of this year. The English dub, as well as the Japanese dub with English subtitles, is due to release in the West on December 8th.
