Just last week, The biggest buyout in video game history occurred. Activision Blizzard, the game company most known for titles like Call of Duty, Overwatch, and World of Warcraft, was just purchased in its entirety by mega-corporation Microsoft. The buyout of this company largely means that many titles once belonging to multiple consoles may now release future installments exclusively to the Xbox console. Already, Microsoft CEO Phil Spencer had previously stated that work has begun on bringing Activision Blizzard games to Game Pass, although he suggested it may take some time for them to show up. In fact, it has already been confirmed by Activision Blizzard themselves that recent titles like Diablo 4 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will not be released for Xbox's subscription service, Xbox Game Pass, until 2024.
