Released 01 October 2024
Genre - Reggae
There are many styles of Reggae, from Traditional to the New Wave. The album encompasses a range of styles. Opus refers to a couple of 'out there' tracks.
Track 1 - His in a Bind - She is fed up with doing all the work whilst he just sits around all day. But she's had enough and is going for him. In the past he's always had the answers, but not this time!
Track 2 - In The City Lights - A Girl looks down on a growing City, where there was once just a small town. Although life is better now, she longs for the day when there were green fields to walk through.
Track 3 - Lazin in the Sun - Just someone enjoying a day in the sunshine.
Track 4 - Opus One - Is an instrumental playing with different tones and textures.
Track 5 - Cruel Dirty Kinda Town - Another instrumental with a Spaghetti Western feel.
Track 6 - Notting Hill - He decides to go to the Notting Hill Carnival, where he meets a girl. They spend the day together, but at the end of the day she disappeared, leaving him wondering if he'll ever see her again.
Track 7 - Lazin in the Sun (Heavy Beat) - A heavier version of Track 3.
Track 8 - Rise Together - Reggae has a rich history of songs that stand up for the common man. Perhaps there's been no better time than now for the music to shout out again! (video available on YouTube)
Track 9 - The Prince is King - An affectionate homage to 'The Prince,' Prince Buster. You see the Prince is really the King.
Track 10 - Opus Two - Another instrumental mixing the different tones and pushing the bounderies that make-up what we know as Reggae
