Hi, my name is Tommaso Rossi.
About me: in March 2025 I started a postdoc at the University of Bologna, in the topology group of Luca Moci, Giovanni Paolini and Roberto Pagaria.
From February 2024 to March 2025 I have been a math and physics in two high schools in Florence.
In July 2024 I defended my PhD thesis at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" under the supervision of Paolo Salvatore (commettee: Prof. Gabriele Mondello, Prof. Craig Westerland). Before that I was a student at the University of Florence, where I graduated with a thesis on topological K-theory (advisor Prof. Gabriele Vezzosi).
Research: my research is focused on configuration spaces, operads and the topology of various kind of moduli spaces. Recently I started working on the topology and combinatorics of hyperplane/toric arrangements (and their De Concini-Procesi wonderful compactifications).
As a side interest I like K-theory (topological and algebraic) and chromatic homotopy theory due to my past as a master student in Florence, but at the moment I do not have a working knowledge in that field.
