Tom Gannon

I am an Assistant Professor at UC Riverside. I study questions in representation theory using techniques from algebraic geometry, mathematical physics, the Langlands program, and homotopy theory.  Because of how quickly artificial intelligence has been able to say things about these fields, I've also recently become interested in AI safety.

I help run the UCR Representation and Lie Theory seminar, and this Summer I'll be a Research Member at the Representation Theory Under the Influence of Quantum Field Theory program at SLMath (MSRI).
