Thank you for using TomeKeeper. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app.
1. Data Collection and Use
TomeKeeper is designed to keep your data private. Most of the information you enter (books, reviews, tags) is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
2. Third-Party Services
To provide certain features, we use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:
Google Play Services: Used for app functionality and updates.
AdMob: We use AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect data such as your Advertising ID to provide personalized or non-personalized ads. Link to Google’s Privacy Policy
Google Play Billing: For premium feature purchases. All payment transactions are processed securely by Google. We do not see or store your credit card information.
Google Books API: When you search for books, your search query is sent to Google to retrieve book metadata.
3. Permissions
The app requests certain permissions to function:
Internet: To fetch book data and display ads.
Notifications: To remind you of book releases.
Storage (via System Picker): Only used when you explicitly choose to Export or Import your backup files.
4. Data Retention
Since your data is stored locally, you are responsible for your data. Deleting the app will delete your local database. If you use the "Export" feature, the resulting file is saved where you choose and is not managed by us.
5. Children’s Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
