Begging sequences in Kittiwakes (Rissa tridactyla)

Research Interests: Avian behaviour, evolution of cognition, cooperation, life history theory, Agent-Based Modelling

Bio: I graduated from Middlesex University London in 2021 with a BSc (Hons) Psychology. I have a keen interest in the evolutionary origins of behaviour. For my final year undergraduate dissertation I investigated aspects of paranoia in an attempt to understand its possible evolved function. For this work I used an agent based modelling approach.

I have a broad interest in integrated approaches to behaviour, such as behavioural ecology, evolutionary psychology, primatology, and neuropsychology. To this end I took a place on the MSc by Research (Evolutionary Behavioural Science) at Middlesex University to study Kittiwake (Rissa tridactyla) behaviours in the wild. I have recently submitted my thesis entitled Parent-offspring Interactions in the Black-Legged Kittiwake (Rissa tridactyla): A Sequential Analysis which I passed with distinction.

In the autumn of 2022 I enrolled on an MPhil/PhD at Royal Holloway University of London.
