For Tom Whittemore, sailing is a way of life. He has gone on numerous ocean travel adventures on his sailboat. Whittemore now offers sailing lessons at beaches along the East Coast as a Water Sports Instructor. An active adventurer, he is passionate about exploring different beaches. One of his bucket list goals is to sail and surf in all 5 oceans of the world. Whittemore is currently in the process of developing his own East Coast Surfing and Sailing article series, where he will feature his favorite beaches. On a freelance basis, the avid sailor is available for Water Sports Lessons. He currently teaches introductory lessons on a wide range of water sports, including sailing, surfing, windsurfing and water polo.
In the past, Tom Whittemore has offered instruction on how to swim: an introductory course for adults. Too often, adults are overlooked as newbie swimmers. If someone does not learn in their younger years, it is unlikely that they will seek out lessons, out of embarrassment. Whittemore hopes to offer an environment that is welcoming to swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It’s never too late to learn how to swim and Whittemore is happy to teach anyone interested in learning!
It comes as no surprise that Tom Whittemore is an Ocean Travel Enthusiast! An avid sailor, he has embarked on numerous adventures by setting sail from beaches along the East Coast. During his first expedition to international waters, Whittemore brought a camera along to document the adventure. And just like that: a new passion and creative outlet was discovered! Now, Whittemore is passionate about not only traveling to experience different oceans in the world, but also enjoys capturing photos along the way. He is currently working on his first underwater marine wildlife photography series, which he hopes to share in an art exhibit.
