Privacy Policy — Tollaby (طلابي)

The short version
Tollaby runs on your phone, and that is all.
Your students' details — their names, phone numbers, attendance, fees and
marks — are stored on your device and do not leave it. We operate no server
that receives them. We do not see them and cannot see them.
Two things touch the internet, and both only when you say so:
1. Backup to Google Drive— only if you connect your own account
2. Update checks — the app asks whether a newer version exists, nothing more

What the app stores
All of this lives on your device, in a database inside the app:

None of this reaches us.If you delete the app without taking a backup, this
data is gone — for you and for us, because it was never with us.
Permissions, and why

The app does not ask for location, contacts, files or the microphone.
Google Drive
If you tap "Connect a Google account" on the backup screen:
- We request a single scope, `drive.appdata`
- It gives the app a hidden folder of its own in your Drive
- The app cannot see any other file you have — not your photos, not your
documents. It is technically incapable of it
- The backup is uploaded **to your account, never to one of ours
- We cannot read it. It is in your Drive, and the app on your phone is the
only thing that can reach it
- You can disconnect at any time from the same screen
This is off by default. It happens only when you press the button.

Messages and updates
The app talks to Firebase (a Google service) for two things:
1 · Update checks
It reads one number: the minimum version allowed. If yours is older, the app
asks you to update. No information about you is sent in that request.
2 · Messages about the app
We may send a notification to everyone using the app — for instance, that a new
feature has landed. It reaches every device at once, without us knowing who
you are or what you have. There is no account and no sign-in.
You can turn notifications off in your phone settings at any time.
What we do not do
- ❌ No sign-in, no account — the app does not know who you are
- ❌ We do not collect or view your students' data
- ❌ We do not sell data to anyone
- ❌ No advertising, no ad trackers
- ❌ We do not track your location
- ❌ We do not read your contacts or your messages
Children
Tollaby is for teachers, not for students. Students do not use it and have
no accounts in it.
Student details are entered by the teacher and stay on the teacher's phone.
You are responsible for that data: for having a guardian's permission before
recording their phone number, and for handling it as the law where you are
requires.
Your rights
Because all the data is on your device:
- See it: it is all in front of you in the app
- Change it: any student, group or mark
- Delete it: Settings → Erase everything, or uninstall the app
- Take a copy: Backup → Make a backup, which gives you a file to keep
wherever you like
None of this requires asking us, because we hold nothing to ask for.

Changes to this policy
If we change something, we will update this page and the date at the top. If the
change is significant, we will say so in the app.

How to delete your data
All your data is stored on your own device. To delete it:
1. Open the app
2. Go to More → Settings
3. Tap "Erase everything"
4. Confirm
This permanently deletes every student, group, lesson, invoice and mark.
Uninstalling the app removes all of it as well.
If you connected Google Drive, your backups live in your own Drive account:
Drive → Settings → Manage apps → Tollaby → Delete hidden app data
