PRIVACY POLICY
1. INTRODUCTION
Welcome to To-Do List (com.todot.listtodo). This Privacy Policy explains how our application handles information when you use our app. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
By installing and using To-Do List, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
To-Do List does NOT collect, transmit, or share any personal information. The app is designed to work completely offline.
The only data the app stores is the content you create yourself, which includes:
- Task titles you enter
- Task descriptions you write
- Priority levels you select (Low, Medium, High)
- Category names you assign
- Due dates you choose
- Completion status of your tasks
- The date and time each task was created
This data is stored exclusively on your device using a local SQLite database (via Android Room). It never leaves your device.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
We do not use your data in any way. All task information you create is used solely to display your to-do list within the app on your own device. No analytics, no tracking, no processing on external servers.
4. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
All data is stored locally on your device using Android's Room Database (SQLite). The data is stored in the app's private storage area, which is sandboxed by the Android operating system and is not accessible to other apps.
We do not use any cloud storage, remote servers, or third-party databases.
5. INTERNET AND NETWORK ACCESS
To-Do List does NOT require an internet connection to function. The app does not request the INTERNET permission in its AndroidManifest.xml. Therefore:
- No data is ever sent to any server
- No data is received from any server
- No network requests of any kind are made by the app
6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
To-Do List does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, or libraries that collect user data. The app uses only the following official Android/Google libraries for its core functionality:
- AndroidX Room (local database)
- AndroidX Lifecycle / ViewModel (UI state management)
- AndroidX RecyclerView (list display)
- Google Material Components (UI design)
- Kotlin Coroutines (background processing)
None of these libraries collect personal information.
7. PERMISSIONS
To-Do List requests NO special permissions. The app does not request access to:
- Camera
- Microphone
- Location
- Contacts
- Phone
- Storage (external)
- Internet
- Any other sensitive permission
The only system-level access used is standard local app storage, which is automatically granted by Android to all apps for their own private data.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
To-Do List does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app is safe for use by people of all ages. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations worldwide.
9. DATA DELETION
Since all your data is stored only on your device, you can delete all app data at any time by:
Option 1: Go to your device Settings → Apps → To-Do List → Storage → Clear Data
Option 2: Uninstall the app from your device
Both actions will permanently delete all tasks and data associated with the app.
10. DATA SHARING
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share any user data with any third parties, because we do not collect any user data in the first place.
11. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
