Do you know, for example, which food really causes skin problems? And which foods are recommended? In short: how do you get beautiful skin by watching your food? We tell you all about it in this article!

How do you get beautiful skin?

The question "how do you get beautiful skin" is answered by many people with external products. In other words: we often count on creams and ointments to keep our face soft and wrinkle-free. The problem is that this can of course only work to a limited extent.

Lubrication is not as effective if your skin simply does not have the nutrients to stay in good condition . If you do not eat well in the meantime, those ointments will have a lot of effect on your wallet. It is therefore essential to work from within!

Nice skin Tips

But what exactly do we mean by that? In this article we are not going to give lists of products that you 'really have to eat'. It is not necessary to eat specific foods - you just have to ensure that you get certain substances from wherever you take them. For that reason, we list below seven essential nutrients that you need for beautiful skin.

1. Vitamin A

Vitamin A is important for the production of skin tissue. In addition, it is an antioxidant that ensures that free radicals do not affect your cells. That also prevents the aging of the skin. Your body makes vitamin A from beta-carotene, the substance that gives yellow and orange fruit and vegetables their color. So eat enough carrot, peppers, oranges, bananas and other similar products.

2. Vitamin C

Another antioxidant vitamin C . This vitamin is also essential in the production of collagen, a protein that ensures that your skin stays supple and elastic. Vitamin C is also mainly found in fruit and vegetables. Citrus fruits are of course known for, but broccoli , peppers and many cabbages contain much more.

3. Vitamin E

Finally, we have vitamin E, another antioxidant that helps you protect your skin against UV light, for example. Vitamin E is fat-soluble, which means that it is best to eat it together with some healthy fats . For example, avocados , some nuts and vegetable oils are full of them.

4. Omega 3 fats

These fats are also of great importance for your skin. They ensure that your skin stays hydrated and nourished. They also prevent inflammation and remove waste, both factors that can lead to contaminated skin. It is recommended to eat (fatty) fish twice a week to get your omega 3 fats. Flax seeds , avocado and walnuts are also good sources.

5. Proteins

Proteins are the building materials of your body tissue - and therefore also of your skin. You simply need enough protein to properly maintain your cells. They are also essential for the production of collagen. Note that you do not only choose animal protein, because too much of it can also accelerate aging. A good balance between animal and vegetable proteins is therefore ideal.

6. Antioxidants

Then, in addition to the vitamins mentioned above , there are a few more important antioxidants . We list them below:

Lycopene enhances sunlight protection and stimulates collagen production. It's mostly in tomatoes, and it's best if you eat some fat with it.

Polyphenols again fight aging. For example, they are found in red fruit, cocoa, green tea and colorful vegetables.

Chlorophyll also prevents cell damage. You get this green 'dye' from leafy vegetables such as spinach , but also for example from seaweed and cress.

7. Water

Finally, perhaps the easiest way to keep your skin healthy: drink enough water . This ensures that your skin stays moist enough, so that no wrinkle wrinkles occur. Water also helps you to remove waste. They cannot contaminate your skin and cause inflammation there! So drink around two liters a day.
