a young man afflicted with a deadly illness of the lungs, giving him a short amount of time to live. he would be taken in by a sage named guildivain with the fake promise that he would be cured, instead being experimented on had his aether fortified like several others. one day, in a rage brought by the experimentation done on him, he would accidentally kill a woman, who would hand over his sage soul crystal and armaments; she would tell him to use his abilities to help people rather than for selfish reasons.while he and two others were able to escape, they swore revenge against the sage, chasing him down to do so. eventually, with the help of the warrior of light, they managed to defeat the sage, leaving his punishment up to sharlayan justice. effectively, loifa's name has been cleared, and now he works to keep the promise to the woman the soul crystal had belonged to as well as helping cure his comrades.
