the son born out of the affair between king uriens and his seneschal's wife. while technically the oldest, he gains no firstborn rights due to the affair. raised by urien's seneschal and wife, yvain would consider his early life decent even when considering his birth. despite his title, made only in reference to the affair rather than his personality, he's a brave warrior, often fighting alongside his half-brother, also named yvain. they would both leave their home in rheged to join arthur's side, even as their father was part of a rebellion against the king. somewhere during that time, yvain the bastard would be knighted by king arthur.
hardly remarked upon unlike his brother, but not a weakling by any measure. both yvains were called courageous, courteous, and extremely intelligent. gawain had remarked that yvain the bastard had never lost against any knight in battle. yvain the bastard would be one of the knights to join in the quest for the grail. unfortunately, he would run across gawain with both knights wearing armor that wasn't their usual, and during that battle gawain would kill yvain.

the son born of the affair between king uriens and his seneschal's wife. despite the title, he's not a terrible person, as he left rheged along with his half-brother to join arthur's court. a courageous warrior on his own, that strived through many battles, he met his unfortunate end by gawain when both of them didn't recognize each other in a duel.

after the fall of camelot, yvain ended up separated from his younger brother, ending up on the space colony of cantre'r gwaelod, ruled over by the gannes family, specifically king bours and then his son, prince bors. unlike the knights of avalon, as that group would often travel around the galaxy fighting against the antimatter legion or offering their aid to those in need, the guardians of the wellspring remain station on the colony living up to the aeon of preservation in protecting its civilization.
yvain figured that remaining in one place has better odds to get more news about his brother's whereabouts, and so far he's feeling useful by protecting the crown prince.
