Tuesday 5th of July, 2022.
Shonagh took inspiration from Nikki’s’ teach meet to showcase what she did with her classUsing the templates Nikki sent out from the latest Teach Meet, Shonagh created key character cards for the play 'A streetcar named desire". These were stuck under the chairs and students had to go around the room for 3 minutes and interview one another to retrieve as much information as they could. Once this was done, they had to produce all their ideas on a knowledge organiser. Finally they had to make inferences and deductions about what the big concepts and themes most likely to appear based on the information.
The second comes again from Tom Sherrington’s blog looking at 5 ways to build confidence for a learner.

Two great resources this week from Ms Claridge. The first is Slidesmania which is a fantastic site for Google Slides templates. As well as a huge range of designs for regular presentations, they have some school bundles for interactive tasks that work beautifully as Google Classroom lessons/home learning
Ms Claridge is also using Wordle for keywords.

Thank you to both Hayley and Doug for this weeks resources!
Hayley created a language-based recall activity for her 11s. Which she used as a starter activity.
I asked HoFs to look at personalising the WWW banners the idea for this is to enable the students to clearly link the prior learning with what they are doing in the lesson and in future lessons. If the students are able to understand the ‘learning journey’ the lessons will be more relevant, and learning will be more effective.
The aim is that in all of our projected lessons we would use a similar template to enable us to support the students in making these links. And in every other lesson we would verbalise from the poster.
