Here at the JBS Law Magnet, students are in the criminal justice pathway and compete in criminal justice-related competitions such as forensics science, crime scene investigation, building search, felony traffic stop, and criminal justice individual. Not only do we compete in criminal justice competitions, we also compete in leadership competitions such as job interview, prepared speech, opening and closing ceremonies, emblem ceremony, and so much more! 

We also offer several leadership positions including running for district, state, and national office. The JBS Law magnet has the history with the most national officers in SkillsUSA history! This year we are proud to say that we have 2 District officers, Alejandro Abeja is District 6's President for the 2024-2025 school year and Esmeralda Loredo and District 6's Reporter for the 2024-2025 school year, we also have one SkillsUSA Texas State officer, Hannah Castillo as state treasure for the 2024-2025 school year!
