Statement from TLF Share on 2023 Transgender Day of Visibility

Transgender and Gender Diverse People (TGDP) still experience social inequalities. 

In the Philippines, TGDP are still underserved, and the lack of transgender health protocols compel them to self-medicate and harm attitudes, and to navigate illegal practices to affirm their gender identities. A trans*health program is yet to be established, a program that will guide health practitioners towards the provision of gender-affirming health service at all levels of the health system. 

This 2023 Transgender Day of Visibility, TLF Share’s Trans*Health Program, Trans*Inclusive, will feature public figures in their call and support towards the goal of Transgender Health in the country.
