CHR welcomes House committee approval of SOGIESC Equality Bill

On Facebook, the Commission on Human Rights shared its press statement on the Commission's commendation on the approval of the SOGIESC Equality Bill by the House Committee on Women and Gender Equality. The CHR, on the said post on June 19, 2023, also said:

This bill should be viewed by Senate of the Philippines and the House of Representatives of the Philippines from the lens of the State's obligation to be unwavering in pushing for genuine equality in rights and dignity in our society—a context where an individual can be their best selves without their SOGIESC being used against their growth and development.
