Domain Expansion:
ART BLOCK

The world's color is drained within a space to a black and white framework of itself- twisting and recreating itself into a painting. Structures and landscapes become manipulated easily- as if pushing or pulled with the wave of a hand. The world within a painter's canvas is only limited by their imagination- and Black has a very, very wide imagination.

-- COLOR CODED --

Born of a frustrated artists' curse upon their own ability- this curse technique deals with the manipulation of color and images. Capable of absorbing any color into itself through either consuming an object or draining it through it's fingers- this curse can use the absorbed ink/paints to create structures or creatures that it can control or manipulate for a period of time. Living creatures he drains the color of simply feel sapped of energy, only extremely long prolonged exposure could actually do harm to a human or animal- and the colors recover quickly, usually within a few minutes.

Much like shikigami, these creatures made from artworks have limited intelligence cannot act well without instruction. Inanimate objects made with this technique are just as real as the actual thing, but cannot be improved upon or given any additional cursed energy.

Living creatures typically last about 2 hours without refreshing. Nonliving creations last about 6 without refreshing.  These creations are only as strong as they are well drawn or recognized, and can be easily erased or washed away with water- as the color is ink based and cannot retain its shape when wet.

 Limitations:

He cannot recreate living people with the same abilities they have in real life. For example, while he can create a copy of Mikoto, it would have no cursed energy, and no abilities beyond a natural human. If he drew BUFF Mikoto, it would be as strong as a normal buff human. If he doesn't take the super long time and effort to make the copy realistic, it often looks ridiculous and doesn't fool anyone.

He cannot pull from "printed" recreations- only originals.

General Abilities:

- Masquerade - This curse has the ability to manifest in front of humans, at will, and frequently will do so to interact with them.

- Cloaking / Camo  : Black can  effectively "paint"  themselves to  appear as a different  person or blend in with their surroundings like a very effective octopus/chameleon. He blends in with humans flawlessly on any normal, fair weather day. Changing into his natural form is quick, but changing into someone else takes time- and a really clean mirror- if he's going to pull it off. Normally, to get around, he just gives his skin and eyes a more normal shade.

       -  Liquid Body:   Black has no actual structure or form to themselves, being primarily made of a paint, or inky substance that is held together by willpower. A singular nucleus exists in this form and can be struck to deal damage more effectively, but is generally resistant to damage overall otherwise. Can fit under doors, through cracks, ect, anything his nucleus can fit through (like an octopus with it's beak)- and can also use this to get around if he's feeling up to it.

- Color Starved: Can eat or drain the color of any artwork, surface, or person around them. This doesn't last very long on living targets, but inanimate objects can be left in a "greyscale" state for a long time. The most this can do without extremely long exposure is make someone tired.

- Ageless:  as a nonliving, concept based curse, they do not have any concept of age and have been around a very, very long time. They do not age, or degrade much over time, but do show signs of wear and tear if they don't "refresh" their form every so often by eating colors. This character cannot be healed by conventional means, and must consume color to repair itself over time.

Strengths:
- Extreme Variability
- Cloaking / Evasion
- Difficult to track or trace, even with the ability to follow cursed energy
- Damage Resistant
- Summon Capacity is limitless if the conditions are met

Weaknesses:
- WATER, RAIN, AND ANY FORM OF LIQUID - spitting on them does massive damage as it washes away their technique
- Materials and space Required to make larger / powerful creations
- Cannot heal conventionally

PERSONALITY

At first glance, you'd never know he wasn't human. Black as night hair falls into dark eyes and frames a casual, smiling face. Black is not one to make himself look intimidating by any means. he blends in easily and fairly- a casual polite attitude and respecting his "elders" in public. This is the outward appearance he gives off, and what he prefers to be recognized for. A professional, hard working man in his mid twenties - late thirties with nothing particularly interesting about him.  A shaper eye may notice his nails always seem dark, as if dipped in ink, his eyes seem to change color in the light, and his skin tends to be coated- as if painted or heavily covered in makeup.

When the masks come down, however, a new story is told. Smug and twisted, he greatly enjoys playing with people to see what happens. Manipulative, and more of a cheshire cat than a person, he greatly enjoys pushing buttons to mess with other curses or sorcerers alike. Black is extremely flexible, believing fully in the freedom of choice and the reality that there is no true right or wrong answer- everything has an equal part in both.

Black in his natural, true state appears like a walking imperfection in the world, solid black and white where someone would expect shadows. Out of graciousness, he often appears to have white skin so he doesn't completely disappear into himself.

AN: Black is a flirt. Please let me know if you are uncomfortable with this and I will tone him back.

SPOILERS (SYNOPSIS- SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS I STUDY HISTORY LMAO)
- Black was once an average, though talented artist and inventor. His name was forgotten but modest- he lived a humble life with a wife and two children.  A dreamer, he often sketched and drew creations to better humanity- such as watering crops or tilling lands more automatically. Out of his own time, he was drafted to create weapons of war and killing rather than humanitarian acts he was more inclined to.
- He was driven to despair with the guilt of what he'd created, giving up his talents despite the threat of death over himself. It was only when his family was threatened did he cooperate, though a husk of his former self.
- Eventually, this too took a toll on him, draining him of all his ability to create. He suffered a major lapse in his quality and ability, but was forced to keep producing. This was when he started truly succumbing to Curse Energy- slowly corrupting him into something inhuman.
- After his family was slaughtered by a creation much like his own, he swore to never create again and never did. He cursed humanity never create and suffer as he did, becoming a much more feral, and uncontrollable version of himself today. Starving and enraged, he ravaged the land with other curses born of the same strife. Twisting the minds of any human who came near his energy- he sapped life, dreams, ambition, and creativity. His very essence robbed people of their wills to create or live. This led them to become prey to disease and other monsters like himself.
- Black's name is actually one word of something he was greatly a part of- the Black Death, and in the following great golden ages of art, his power was limitless. He knew no hunger or need to feed- it simply found him. Some tried to quell him, but due to  the constant sources of suffering and "art block" around him during the Renaissance, he was unable to be destroyed.
- As the great ages of art peetered off into wars, so did Black's power in many ways and he was able to condense and reform into something more human again. As if remembering himself, he forgot his days as a human, but not his humanity. He travelled the world, seeking purpose.
- It was in the japanese artistic eras he would find himself again completely and rest. He came to call the estranged lands home and slept for long periods of time, decades to humanity, and when he finally emerged completely in the late 1800s, he was more or less as we know him today.
- His human name, though he does not remember, was John.

My dear you're positively flushed- exactly three shades redder than normal.
