Our goal is to build what you imagine. Whether you’ve found something online that you’d like made or you have a casual idea of what you want – we will work with you to quickly come up with a plan to create a custom piece of woodwork for your needs.

We are available to build pieces of any style or size but specialize in farmhouse style and rustic designs.

Two Teachers Building Stuff...

TJH Wood Designs was created in May of 2017 and is based out of Freehold, NJ. Tom Jennings and Jesse Heubel created their partnership to build furniture, home décor, gifts, and games. While we build most of the products out of Tom’s garage, we share a unique passion for woodworking and a high attention to detail.

Tom Jennings has a B.S. in Technology Education and an M.A. in School Supervision. He was a Technology Education teacher for 9 years at Freehold Township High School teaching things like Video, Architecture, Design and CAD. For the past 4 years, he has worked as a Teacher Coach for Technology Integration within the Freehold Regional HS District. He is also an adjunct professor at The College of New Jersey in the Department of Integrative STEM Education and has been a supervisor at a local STEM/Coding summer camp. He lives with his wife, 2 kids, and beagle in Freehold, NJ.

Jesse Heubel has a B.S. in Technology Education from California University of Pennsylvania. Originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, Jesse was a sheet metal worker. He accepted a position as the Auto Shop teacher at Freehold Township High School. Jesse also coaches football, wrestling, and track.
