Hello! Thank you for stopping by.
Welcome to our family farm in the southern Midwest.
We raise pork and rely every day on our Working Kelpies to move sows and pigs across pastures and through barns. These dogs are our partners in the field, our helpers in daily chores, and our companions at home. We’re proud to carry on the tradition of this hardy, intelligent, and highly capable breed.
Our Kelpies are true all-around dogs.
They can work livestock sunup to sundown, then still have the focus and temperament to join the kids in 4-H obedience classes. On weekends they’re eager hiking partners in the national forest, and in the evenings they’re happy to curl up on the kitchen floor. Sound minds, strong bodies, and steady temperaments, these are the qualities we breed for.
If you’d like to learn more about this loyal, athletic, and versatile breed, we’re always glad to talk about our dogs and the work they do.
We only raise a few litters, and each one is planned with purpose. When we have puppies available, you’ll find details about the litter, sire, and dam posted here.
Why Choose a Working Kelpie?
Working Kelpies are known for their intelligence, natural stock sense, and willingness to learn. They thrive when given a job, whether it’s livestock work, dog sports, or being an active family companion. If you’re looking for a dog with stamina, heart, and a genuine desire to work with you, the Working Kelpie is unmatched.
Proven Working Parents: All of our dogs are actively used on the farm, not just “working-bred.”
Stable Temperaments: We select for calm, biddable dogs that are confident around livestock and gentle with our kids. While working livestock is their "main job" our working kelpies have also earned CGC certificates, AKC Trick Titles, and completed 4-H dog class with the kids.
Health & Structure: Our Working Kelpies are sound, athletic, and capable of long days in the field. Every dog has a clear Embark panel, known CA status, and OFA certification on Hips and Elbows.
Raised With Purpose: Our puppies grow up around farm life, gaining early exposure to livestock, new environments, and everyday family activity. We handle every puppy extensively and follow Puppy Culture principles to provide the best start for you to build on.
Rutherford Rosie, WKC
Rosie is my right hand for moving sows to and from the pastures and farrowing barns and for fetching baby pigs. She has a ton of fetch and is super biddable.
Pups in Rose's previous litters have numerous herding titles with AKC, ASCA, and AHBA on cattle, sheep, and ducks; including one pup with an American Herding Breed Association Herding Trial Championship at just two years old.

When not working livestock, all our dogs do 4-H dog class with the kids. Rose has her AKC Good Citizen Certificate and AKC Trick Dog titles through Advanced.
Rose has OFA Good hips, and Normal elbows.
Rutherford Mick, WKC
Mick helps me in the chip barn moving pigs down the alley and in and out of pens. Mick both drives and fetches and is the cool, confident help I need moving hogs in tight spaces. He's super heavy boned and has worlds of presence.
Mick has his AKC Trick Dog Novice title and the most willing, easy-to-train attitude I've ever seen. I anticipate these pups will be the same.

Mick has OFA Excellent Hips and Normal Elbow. He is CA clear.
All the pups in the November 2025 litter have been spoken for and are headed to their new homes.
