Tintle - Privacy Policy
Tintle - Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the mobile game Tintle ("the app", "we", "us") processes, why, and the choices you have. The app is designed around data minimization: it does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any account sign-in, and it shows no third-party ads.
By using the app you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we process
We use Google Firebase services. The data below is pseudonymous — it is tied to a random, app-generated identifier, not to your real identity.
a) Analytics (Firebase Analytics)
Anonymous usage events (e.g. which screens you open, that a round or daily challenge was completed, its score, tickets earned/spent, a collection unlocked), plus standard technical data provided automatically by the SDK: a random app-instance ID, device model, operating system version, app version, language, and coarse region/country. We use this only to understand how the game is played and to improve it. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, precise location, photos, or advertising identifiers.
b) Crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics)
When the app crashes or hits an error, we receive a crash report: the stack trace, and device state at the time of the crash (device model, OS version, memory/orientation, app version). This is used solely to find and fix bugs.
c) Anonymous authentication (Firebase Authentication)
To take part in the leaderboard, the app signs you in anonymously — Firebase issues a random anonymous user ID. There is no email, password, name, or social login involved.
d) Leaderboard (Cloud Firestore)
If you appear on the leaderboard, we store, linked to your anonymous ID: a nickname generated for you by our server (from a fixed word list — you cannot enter your own text),
your number of discovered colors, and your best day-streak. No personal data is stored. All writes are performed by our server, so this data cannot be tampered with by other players.
e) Notifications
The optional daily reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device. Enabling it does not send any data to us. You control it with the in-app reminder toggle and your system notification settings.
2. What we do NOT do
- We do not collect personal identifiers (name, email, phone, precise location, contacts, photos).
- We do not show third-party advertising and do not use ad-tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to anyone.
3. How data is shared
Data is processed by Google Firebase acting as our service provider (data processor). We do not share your data with any other third parties. Google's handling of Firebase data is described in the Firebase Privacy and Security (https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy) documentation and Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
4. Data retention and deletion
- Leaderboard data: you can remove your leaderboard entry at any time from inside the app (Leaderboard → "Remove me from the ranking"). This deletes your anonymous record on our server.
- Local data: your progress (discovered colors, streak, tickets, settings) is stored on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
- Analytics/Crashlytics: aggregated and pseudonymous data is retained by Firebase according to Google's default retention periods.
5. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EU, or applicable local law), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Because the app collects no personal identifiers, the primary tool is the in-app leaderboard deletion described above. For any further request, contact us at the address below.
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
8. Contact
For any questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact:
Email: timetobusapp@gmail.com
9. How to request deletion of your data
In-app (leaderboard data):
1. Open the app → Leaderboard.
2. Tap "Remove me from the ranking".
3. Your anonymous leaderboard record is deleted from our server immediately.
By email (any other data):
1. Send an email to timetobusapp@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my data".
2. We will delete the associated pseudonymous data within 30 days.
What is deleted: your anonymous leaderboard entry (generated nickname, discovered-colors count, best streak) and any pseudonymous analytics/crash data tied to your app-instance ID.
What is retained: aggregated, non-identifiable statistics. Analytics/crash data auto-expires within Firebase's retention window (up to 14 months).
Local data (progress, settings) is removed when you uninstall the app.
