TInsights – Product Insights for TPT Sellers ("TInsights", "the extension") is a Chrome extension that shows public product information, such as recent views, release dates, ratings and estimated sales, on Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) pages. This policy explains what the extension handles and why.
We do not collect, sell or share your personal information.
We have no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.
Everything the extension saves stays in your own browser.
The extension only talks to two services: Teachers Pay Teachers, to read public product data, and Gumroad, to check a license key if you buy Premium.
The extension saves the following in Chrome's local extension storage, on your computer only. We cannot see it.
Your settings: the estimated review rate and your TPT seller plan (Basic or Premium).
Free plan usage: how many free panel searches you have used.
License details (Premium only): your license key, which plan it unlocks, and when it was last checked.
Temporary cache of public TPT data: product views, release dates, ratings and prices (kept for up to 6 hours) and store start dates (kept for up to 24 hours), so pages load faster and fewer requests are made.
Teachers Pay Teachers. When you visit a TPT search, browse or store page, the extension asks TPT for the public details of the products on that page (for example views and release dates). These requests go from your browser to teacherspayteachers.com, exactly like the TPT website's own requests, and are limited to a small number per page. The extension only reads public product information. It does not read your TPT account details, messages, purchases or sales dashboard.
Gumroad. If you buy TInsights Premium or Lifetime, the extension sends your license key and the product ID to Gumroad's license API (api.gumroad.com) when you activate it and about once a week after that, to confirm the purchase is still active. Nothing else is sent. Your purchase itself (name, email, payment) is handled by Gumroad under Gumroad's privacy policy. We never see your payment details.
We do not collect your browsing history, the pages you visit, or anything you type on websites.
We do not sell, rent or transfer any data to third parties.
We do not use data for advertising, credit decisions or any purpose unrelated to the extension's features.
We do not run remote code. All of the extension's code is included in the package reviewed by the Chrome Web Store.
The use of information received by the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing the extension from Chrome deletes everything it stored. You can also clear it by going to chrome://extensions, opening TInsights' details, and clearing its site data.
TInsights is a tool for teachers and TPT sellers. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
