May 11 Clean-up Tree Debris at Tinker! Volunteers needed!

Tinker Nature Park recently had a number of hazardous Ash Trees cut due to damage by the Emerald Ash Borer Beetle ( http://www.emeraldashborer.info/). Many of the trunks of dead trees need to be removed from the trail to encourage new undergrowth within the woodlot.

All heavy equipment will be provided, please bring your own boots and work gloves to protect your feet and hands.

-Ability to lift 25lbs,

-please wear LONG pants/sleeves,

-please wear CLOSED TOE shoes,

-please bring gloves


May 18 Coyotes

Informational talk that discusses the habitat, range, impact, and life of the coyote in New York State.


June 29 Art Open House

The exhibits will remain open to the public as an open house event, there will be kid-friendly activities, music, and more!


July 13 Ice Cream Social and Pudge’s “Gotcha” Bash

Complimentary ice cream, and mini-cupcakes to celebrate Tinker’s newest resident! Museums open for showing, and live music in the barn.

Live Animal Presentations throughout the day, presentations from the Cornell Master Gardeners, HPL, and much more!


September 21 Honey Harvest Fest

11:00am-3:00pm

Watch the honey extraction, sample honey recipes, wagon rides, live music, cider press demonstrations and honey to purchase


October 19 Halloween Celebration

6:30pm-8:30pm

Visit the haunted barn, walk down trick-or-treat street, learn about Victorian Funerals in the Tinker Homestead, and find animal friends in the Woodland Wander. Registration Required!

December 7-8 Victorian Christmas

12:00pm-3:00pm

Enjoy cookies and cocoa with Santa while making ornaments, learn about Victorian Christmas traditions in the Tinker Homestead, and enjoy live music
