We are a full service audiology practice, serving the community of Deland and sounding Volusia County since 1990. We are committed to improving your quality of life through better hearing. We offer comprehensive hearing testing, ear wax removal, state-of-the-art hearing aid technology, and patient-centered approach focused on finding the best solutions for your hearing needs. We work with Insurance and their discount programs, and offer discounts to new and existing Self-Pay patients. We accept Cherry, Care Credit and HealthiPlans, with no interest payment plans.

Meet Our Staff

James Timko, M.A., FAAA

Timko Hearing Care is owned and operated by James “Jim” Timko, a licensed Audiologist.

Jim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Speech & Hearing Sciences from Ohio University in 1984 and completed his Master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Florida in 1986.

He began his professional Audiology career working for a local ENT Doctor in DeLand.

In 1990, Jim opened his first Private Practice office in Deland.

Lyndsay Smith, A.A.

Lyndsay is our licensed Audiology Assistant, and Tech Guru. She has been with Timko Hearing Care since 2021. Where she started as a receptionist and worked her way up to achieving her Audiology Assistant license. She hopes to move forward helping patients by gaining a Hearing Instrument Specialist License.
