Gigatrees

I am no longer maintaining the my applications, their documentation, providing technical support, or hosting user websites. Their distribution files continue to be freely available for anyone that may be interested nonetheless. Each distribution file contains a batch file for rebuilding the application's documentation as well as demonstration builds, which should be sufficient enough to provide instruction for use.

Gigatrees & VGedX

Gigatrees is a Windows x64 family tree website generator. It imports all versions of GEDCOM 5 files including many application specific extensions. It was designed to be source-centric and supports a large number of unique options useful to genealogists including privatization, data validation, built-in user authentication, integrated blogging and an integrated photo gallery. Pages can be formatted as static HTML pages or embedded in an SQLite3 database. When building for databases, all support files are provided, so users do not need to know how to program to provide access.

VGedX is a Windows x64, GEDCOM 5 parser and validator. It supports versions 5.5 rev 1, 5.5 rev 2, 5.5.1 and 5.6. Source code (C++) is provided allowing developers to include the parsing library into their own applications. The parser is dictionary based so that it can be easily extended to support additional GEDCOM versions.

BlüeBox

BlüeBox is a Windows x64 website and blog creation application that uses XML templates for all page layouts. It includes default templates for creating both standalone and blog pages. BlüeBox manages template field substitutions, menu creation and page access, it does not hardcode content. Users can easily modify existing templates or create new ones giving them complete control over their website's design. Pages can be formatted as static HTML pages or embedded in an SQLite3 database. When building the databases, all support files are provided, so that users do not need to know how to program to provide access. BlüeBox supports plugins and language translations and allow users to define placeholders for reusable content. It also supports embedding PHP and JavaScript onto any page.
