FieldStamp Camera ("we," "us," or "our"), developed by SmallUniverse Apps, is a mobile utility designed for Android devices. Our primary functionality includes taking photos and videos with superimposed environmental context such as time, location, weather, and coordinates for engineering site records, inspections, and construction documentation. We are committed to protecting your privacy while providing functional, locally processed measurement and utility tools for daily use.

2. Android Permissions Usage To provide the services within FieldStamp Camera, we require specific system permissions. We only request permissions that are strictly necessary for the app's technical operations. The following outlines the permissions requested by this application:
Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Required exclusively to access camera capabilities for real-time preview, capturing photos, and recording videos to generate your site records. We do not secretly capture, record, or save any image or video data to remote servers; all data remains on your local device.
Record Audio (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO): Required exclusively for capturing environmental audio or site explanations when you choose to record a video. We do not record, save, or upload any standalone audio data to our servers; the audio stream is saved strictly to your local video file.
Location (android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION & ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Required for generating accurate location watermarks (such as coordinates and address). These permissions allow the app to provide location data based on your geographic position. This data is used only for real-time calculation and watermark generation.
Internet (android.permission.INTERNET): Required strictly to access external network services to retrieve weather data (via open-meteo.com) and convert geographic coordinates into readable address text for the watermark. This is not used to transmit your media files.
3. Data Collection and Processing We believe in absolute data privacy. FieldStamp Camera is designed to function without the collection of any personal user data.
Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any identifiers.
Media & Sensor Data: All media (photos/videos) and generated watermark data (time, location, weather) are processed and saved exclusively to your device's local storage. We do not operate cloud servers to collect or back up your media files.
Device Identifiers: We do not collect IMEI, AAID, or other persistent device identifiers.
4. Third-Party Services, SDKs, and Sharing FieldStamp Camera operates with strict data minimalism. However, we rely on specific, trusted third-party services to deliver core functionalities (such as accurate location and weather watermarks).
A. Integrated Functional Services
Weather Data Provider (Open-Meteo): To provide real-time weather information for your watermarks, the Application makes HTTPS requests to the Open-Meteo API (api.open-meteo.com). During this process, the Application transmits your anonymous geographic coordinates to Open-Meteo solely to fetch current environmental data. This data is not linked to your identity or stored on our servers. For more detailed information on how Open-Meteo processes data, please refer to the Open-Meteo Terms and Privacy Policy.
Location & Geocoding Services (Google Play Services): We utilize the Google Play Services Location SDK to accurately retrieve your device's precise location and to perform reverse geocoding. For details on how Google processes this data, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy.
B. Third-Party Sharing and Sales
Third-Party Sharing: Other than the essential functional API requests mentioned above, FieldStamp Camera does not share any personal data, generated photos, or videos with third parties.
Right to Know About Sharing: Under the CCPA, you have the right to know whether your personal data is shared with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. We confirm that we do not share any personal data for such purposes.
Sale of Data: We do not sell your personal data. You have the right to know that your data is not sold to any third parties or data brokers.
Tracking SDKs: FieldStamp Camera operates independently as a utility tool and does not integrate any third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, or behavioral tracking.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected.
Retention Period: Since FieldStamp Camera does not collect personal identifiers or upload data to servers, we do not maintain a database of user data. Any sensor data used during a temporary active session is destroyed after the session concludes.
Criteria for Retention: In the event that you contact us via email, we will retain your communication only for as long as needed to resolve your inquiry.
Deletion: Once the purpose for processing is fulfilled, we securely delete the communication data. You may permanently delete all locally generated photos, videos, and app data at any time by utilizing your device's file manager or by uninstalling the application.
Our Application is intended for general utility and professional use (e.g., construction and engineering). It is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect, process, or maintain personal information from individuals under this age threshold.
For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the legal basis for processing any localized technical data is the performance of the contract and our legitimate interest in providing functional measurement tools. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe our processing violates the GDPR.
8. Your Regional Privacy Rights(CCPA, GDPR, LGPD)
Depending on your location, you have specific rights regarding your personal data under applicable regional laws:
A. United States Regional Privacy Laws (CCPA, CPRA, VCDPA) Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), and other applicable U.S. state privacy laws, residents have specific rights regarding their personal information:

Hardware & Permission Dependence: The availability of specific features depends entirely on your device's hardware and granted permissions:
Location & Weather Watermarks: Requires a functional GPS/positioning module, active Location Permissions, and a stable internet connection.
If your device lacks a specific sensor or permission is denied, the corresponding function will not be available.
Reference & Emergency Use Only: Measurement results are estimates and vary based on environment and methodology. All data is for general reference and emergency situational use only.
