Effective Date: August 8, 2026
Last Revised: August 8, 2026
Welcome to TimeCue – Reminders & Alerts. Your privacy is our top priority. TimeCue is built with a strict privacy-first, offline-first architecture. The application operates entirely on your local device and does not have any cloud backend, user account system, or remote server communication.
A. Information We Collect
TimeCue does not collect any personal information.
The developer does not collect, receive, store, process, or have any access to the following types of data:
a. Tasks, notes, or reminder schedules
b. Habit tracking records or calendar entries
c. Application settings or preferences
d. Device identifiers (e.g., IMEI, MAC address, Android ID)
e. Location information (GPS or network-based)
f. Contacts, photos, or files stored on your device
g. Any other personally identifiable information (PII)
We do not use any analytics SDKs, crash-reporting tools, or advertising frameworks that might send telemetry data off your device.
B. Local Data Storage
All information created within TimeCue, including reminders, tasks, habits, notes, and settings, is stored exclusively on your own device in its local internal storage.
a. Your data never leaves your device unless you personally choose to export or back it up using your device's native sharing or backup features.
b. The developer has no technical means to access, view, or retrieve your locally stored TimeCue data.
c. When you uninstall the application, all associated local app data is removed from your device, unless your device's operating system retains applicable backup or cached data.
C. Internet Connection & Permissions
a. Internet
TimeCue does not require an Internet connection for its core task, reminder, calendar, habit, and alert functionalities.
The app contains no cloud synchronization, remote database, or online account system. TimeCue does not transmit your tasks, reminders, notes, or other locally created content to the developer or any remote server.
b. Standard Device Permissions
TimeCue may request device permissions such as Notifications, Calendar access, and other permissions required to provide specific features you choose to use.
These permissions are used locally on your device to provide the corresponding functionality and are not used by the developer to collect or remotely transmit your personal information.
c. Accessibility Service
TimeCue provides an optional Reminder Protection feature that uses Android Accessibility Service.
When you enable Reminder Protection for a task reminder, Accessibility Service is used only while an active reminder is being protected.
During this period, TimeCue uses the Accessibility Service to detect whether the Android system power menu has been opened. If the power menu is opened while the active reminder is being protected, TimeCue returns you to the active reminder screen to help prevent accidental interruption.
TimeCue does not use Accessibility Service to:
* Read or capture screen content
* Collect personal information
* Monitor your activity outside the Reminder Protection feature
Reminder Protection is optional. You can use TimeCue without enabling this feature, and you can disable the Accessibility Service at any time through your device settings.
D. Third-Party Libraries
TimeCue utilizes standard open-source libraries provided by Google to enable core local functionalities, including:
a. Android Jetpack – a suite of libraries that helps follow Android development best practices and reduce boilerplate code.
b. Material Design Components – UI components that implement Material Design.
c. Room Database – a local persistence library that provides an abstraction layer over SQLite.
These libraries run as part of the application on your device. TimeCue does not use these libraries to collect or transmit your personal data to external servers.
E. Data Sharing
Because TimeCue does not collect, store, or transmit personal information to the developer or external servers, we do not sell, rent, transfer, or share your personal information with third parties.
F. Your Control Over Your Data
You retain control over all TimeCue data stored locally on your device.
a. Access & Review: You can view your tasks, reminders, habits, and other locally stored information within the app.
b. Rectification: You can edit or update your information within the app at any time.
c. Deletion: You can delete your local TimeCue data by:
i. Uninstalling the TimeCue application from your device; or
ii. Manually navigating to your device's Settings > Apps > TimeCue > Storage > Clear Data to remove the app's local records.
You can also disable optional permissions and features, including Reminder Protection and its Accessibility Service, at any time through the applicable app or device settings.
G. Data Security
Since your information remains stored locally on your personal device, the security of your data depends largely on the security measures implemented on your device.
We strongly recommend protecting your device using built-in system security features such as:
a. Screen locks (PIN, password, or biometrics)
b. Device encryption
c. Regular system updates
We are not responsible for unauthorized access to your device or local data resulting from device loss, theft, or a compromised operating system.
H. Children's Privacy
TimeCue is not directed to or intended for use by children under the age of 13, or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction.
Because TimeCue does not collect personal information from users, the application does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Parents or guardians should note that TimeCue data remains stored locally on the device and can be removed using the deletion methods described in this policy.
I. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are made, we will publish the revised policy with a new Last Revised date.
Because TimeCue operates without a backend server, we cannot deliver privacy policy updates through remote in-app notifications. The applicable version of this Privacy Policy is provided with the relevant version of the application or made available through the app or its store listing.
By continuing to use TimeCue after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective, you acknowledge the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
